I have never been that type of girl who can crush an insect or bug without feeling bad for the creature that I am destroying, until I had a slug problem at my apartment in Seattle.
I tried everything to keep the slug from returning.
1.) Using a twig to fling the slug to the neighbors.
2.) Picking the slug up with a leaf and putting it in the dirt.
3.) A plate full of beer.
4.) A salt mound.
5.) A salt finish line.
Nothing worked.........
This slug came into my apartment every night and left slug juice all over my bean bag. I was angry every morning when I saw the beautiful, yet annoying glitter lines all over the carpet.
You will never guess what followed me to my new home. That's right, a slug and last night I did a horrible thing.
Fabrizio wouldn't come to bed and I went to check on him and there he was batting around a slug the size of a hot dog. And what happened next came from me feeling disgusted and annoyed. I picked the slug up with a paper towel and used my sea salt grinder 3 times. I have never been so grossed out or felt so terrible at the same time. I killed the slug and it didn't make me feel any better.
VEGAS
This will be my first trip to Vegas.
I hope we can be patient and wait until May:) I hear there are Chapels everywhere.
Maybe we will go see the Hangover while in Vegas. Paolo is dying to see it.
Check back for photos...starting now we are on a mini-vacay!!!

How we met
Funny story...
I was in Indiana celebrating the 4th of July with my family. I received a hilarious email from "ditalianishere" while browsing Match.com with my Mom. I was new at the online dating scene, but I was loving it, shooting for four dates a week. :) I didn't date much before, so I was catching up. I had everyone involved in the search process because I wanted to make sure I was picking great guys, not guys looking to get me in the sack. My mom looked at ditalianishere's profile and said, "Hmmmm, He is Italian and it says he can cook!" I said, "He's too young."
I let the first email go by, but then after getting back to Seattle, ditalianishere sent another email. I finally agreed to meet for a drink after my softball games on Sunday, July 13th. I basically stood him up (he likes to say) because I played three softball games and was too exhausted to go out that night.
He waited by the phone and canceled his whole Sunday, but he forgave me and we decided to meet on Tuesday the 15th of July. I did some research before our first date and this is what I found...
It was a great first date. We met at Hazelwood in Ballard and then ate at Oaxaca, which is the best Mexican restaurant in Seattle. Hard to believe, but I did all the talking and we went out again on Thursday and the again that weekend. From Sunday the 20th of July I have been ditalinishere's.
Here is his first email to me:
To: iwantatrampoline
Date received: July 5, 2008
Subject: iwantatrampoline?
Interesting alias there. Do explain.
Basically, I dig your profile and I'm a sucker for stylish glasses. You win.
I see that you want to travel to Greece next? My aunt lives in Crete. Charm me and you might have a place to stay over there. :)
Let me know if you have some free time later this week and maybe we can meet for drinks.

Dress Update
Saturday I went looking for my dress and it was an amazing experience. I had my friend Sarah come with me and we had a lot of fun. I tried on some crazy beautiful concoctions, but both of the dresses I liked were under $700.00. I would say that is quite a deal for a custom made dress that will only be made for me. My mom is hopefully coming out again so we can shop together and hopefully design my dress:) I want her to be a huge part in my decision and I think it will be amazing designing my dress with her.
I looked on J.Crew website under the wedding line, but it is just too expensive:(
Pronovias is the designer who designed my sister-in-law's dress and they have some amazing dresses as well. I just think they might be a little to pricy:(

My Dress
There is an amazing designer is Seattle that I will be meeting with to discuss my dress. Of course when you hear designer, you must think WHOA. Take a look yourself and tell me what you think.

Scott's congratulations
Scott is the Best Man in our wedding. Prior to our engagement, he prepared some words of congratulations, sorta.
